Trading System
The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange Limited (TTSE) facilitates the trading of listed securities (equities, bonds, mutual funds and US Denominated securities) via an automated and secured trading platform. The Exchange implemented a new trading and surveillance platform, Avvento, on February 06th, 2017 replacing the GlobalVision Electronic Trading System which was used by the Exchange since June 06th, 2011. This new system brings greater efficiency and transparency to the market and allows for the continuous execution of trades across a wider range of securities. It also allows brokers to enter orders and execute trades from their offices or remotely, eliminating the need for a trading floor.

- The Muslim festival of Eid ul Fitr and the Hindu Festival of Divali are observed as public holidays in Trinidad and Tobago. However, since they are determined by the respective Muslim and Hindu religious organizations, the calendar date for each public holiday varies from year to year. - When a public holiday falls on a Sunday, the holiday will be observed on the Monday immediately following.
